Some Las Vegas Strip Casinos Change Smoking Policies To Limit the Spread of COVID-19 – Several Las Vegas Strip casino companies have changed their smoking policies to help contain the spread of COVID-19 while inside casinos.
According to an Associated Press report, smoking and vaping are no longer permitted at casino table games inside the Venetian and Palazzo. This change was made about a month ago when the property mandated that guests wear masks at the table.
Wynn Resorts Ltd. recently made similar changes to two of its Strip properties.
For now, smoking is prohibited at any table game without any plexiglass splitters at Wynn or Encore. Restrictions on all four properties are likely to be lifted when the virus becomes less of a threat to public health visit https://www.pokerbromo.com/.
This step was taken amidst national concerns over a second wave of COVID -19 cases. Nevada reported 849 new cases on Wednesday and a USA Today report claims that at least 123 tourists tested positive for the virus after vacationing at a Silver State casino.
The report stated that 16 visitors tested positive during the first week the Las Vegas casino was open. Governor Steve Sisolak allowed Nevada casinos to resume operations, with some social distancing restrictions, June 4.
The biggest spike in positive cases occurred during the week of June 22 when 31 guests tested positive. According to the national newspaper, the guests were residents of California, Arizona, Florida, Texas, Utah, Colorado, Illinois, Tennessee, and Brazil.
With the Nevada case escalating, Sisolak recently strengthened restrictions that forced bars to close. Even in restaurants serving food, bar service is currently prohibited and indoor dining parties are limited to six.
